The work explores the artistic connection between movement that occurs in an apartment building, other units in that building and the exterior world.
Henry Gwiazda was born in 1952 in New Britain, Connecticut. He received degrees from the Eastman School of Music, The Hartt School, and the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati. His new media work has been shown by Lumen Eclipse(Cambridge), FONLAD Digital Arts(Portugal), the Logos Foundation(Ghent), Liquid Fridge(Cape Town), the WRO International Media Art Biennale 2007, Digital Subjects(Portugal), Upgrade International (Vancouver-P2P Outdoor Art Video), the aniMOTION Festival(Romania), the Summer Belgrade Festival, Upgrade International Seattle, Upgrade International Boston, DigiFestival.net (Florence), FlashFlood International Video Art Festival(Tuscon), One Minute Film and Video Festival(Switzerland), Plains Art Museum(Fargo), Exploding Cinema(London), Skopje Museum(Macedonia), and the 2007 Twin Rivers Media Festival(Official Selection). His web site has been featured at Web Biennale 2007 in Istanbul, 00130Gallery web projects (Helsinki) and ElectroOnline-Electrofringe 2007(Newcastle, Australia) . He was short listed for THE BIGGER PICTURE COMMISSIONS 2007(public video screens UK).
He has received much critical acclaim including the Village Voice and The New York Times.
